All WizBizLa service partners are thoroughly vetted. They have to pass a significant verification process, where WizBizLa examines their license and other qualifications. They also list the various associations that they need to be affiliated with, depending on their trade.

WizBizLa is making it easier for expats to find trustworthy companies to work with. And it's making it easier for reputable service providers to find work and take on more projects.

2. Who can use WizBizLa?

Anyone searching for qualified service providers in any field can use our platform to be matched with a professional to fit their needs. You can also explore any of our resources, such as blogs and podcasts. All you have to do is sign up and create a free account. This network is available to anyone, but is particularly valuable for expats in Dubai.

Licensed experts and businesses can place a profile featuring your services or share resources like blogs or podcasts. However, you must pass WizBizLa's vetting process to ensure you are qualified.

3. How do I join WizBizLa?

If you're a business or professional looking to place a profile on WizBizLa for services you offer, you must hold a license for the activity you say you do and hold all relevant qualifications that are required by law and your trade to carry out the work. You also must pay a subscription fee.

To join WizBizLa and add a resource, you must sign up, open an account and pay the subsequent fee related to that feature.

To join WizBizLa as a customer, you must sign up and open an account, which is completely free.

4. How do I open an account?

It's very simple and free for everyone to open an account on WizBizLa. Sign up and complete the registration with your details.

To help combat online frauds and scams, please note users must verify their account with either a local or international mobile number. A SMS will be sent using the same mobile number you've entered during your registration.

5. How do you check if a company is on WizBizLa?

Use our search facility to find the service or resource you need. This will show you a list of specialized professionals and companies who can help you. Our stringent vetting and transparent monitoring system ensures that every professional and company is licensed in the area of work and works to a high standard.

6. How do I find a service provider on the website?

You can find a service provider from our homepage. You can search services via the search bar using keywords. The system will show services based on the search. Or you can directly select a service category from the homepage and view the subcategories before selecting a service from the Service Category Listing page.

You can filter the profile results by individuals or companies. The list will show registered professionals for the selected service category.

You can then click on any search result and view their profile page that contains all their information and contact them directly on the platform. Your conversation history is stored on your account profile and you can access it at any time.

You and the service provider can discuss the service requirements. If both parties are happy with the match, you can exchange contact details and/or agree to costs off platform.

7. How do I add my profile onto the platform?

There are many ways to add your profile on WizBizLa. But first you must create an account on the platform with a valid email address and a registered mobile number to receive your OTP.

When you’re ready, you can either click on the “Create a profile” link on your dashboard and it will take you directly to the profile form, or alternatively, you can click on the "Place Your Profile" button on the tool bar at the top of the page.

Entering your details on the form is very straightforward: load your images, enter your personal details and select the key services you offer - this will help navigate people to your profile depending upon their needs.

Continue to add your experience and expertise, and any other sections that are relevant to your business. Upload your Trade license or number along with the professional body you are regulated by – along with any certificates relevant to your trade.

Opt to join our reference programme to further validate your expertise.

Once you have reviewed your profile, click on the publish button and this will then take your through to the payment process.

Once you've done that, your form is submitted successfully and your profile is LIVE.

Before you know it, you'll be verified by the WizBizLa team and be a member of the platform. If in the event our background check on your business raises any questions, a member of the admin team will contact you directly.

8. Do I need to add a profile in order to add a resource? (blogs, podcasts etc)

The short answer is no. You don't have to add a profile to be able to add a resource. You can add any of the resources directly. However, we do recommend you add your profile, so people can see your professional background and expertise in the field.

9. Do you have to pay to place your profile?

Yes, you pay a subscription fee to set up a professional/company page.

Once a subscription is active, you may use our monthly auto-renewal option where further payments are auto-debted. This is handled by our registered payment gateway. Professionals can see their subscription status in their profile page and cancel their subscription at any time.

It doesn't matter which service group you're in, WizBizLa is the same price for everyone.

Once your profile is set up, you can access more profile features, which will be charged to your account.

10. Do you have to pay to place any of the resources?

Courses, events and F&B offers are subject to the standard fee.

11. What checks does WizBizLa do?

We check each service registered on our platform directory to ensure that they have the relevant license required by law, the right activity that matches their license, list the various associations they need to be affiliated with, depending on their trade, and they hold relevant qualifications required by law and their trade, to carry out their trade.

In the event there is a service dispute, a regulatory body must be on record.

12. What do you do to make sure service providers have the local experience to do their work?

There are certain services where having a license alone isn't always enough. Local experience is important in the Dubai community, and you need to know that whoever you hire is the best person for the job. We ask for copies of their professional certificates when service providers join, so we know they have the experience you need to do a professional job.

In relation to their skill set, we ask for proof of registration with a governing body. This ensures that our service providers have their specialist training up to date, with the sole purpose of protecting customers from unsafe and unsound work.

It's always a good idea to check with the service provider when you hire them, and ask to see their current license and documentation for your total peace of mind.

13. Can I trust the service providers on WizBizLa?

The background checks and client feedback ensure that only reliable and trusted service people are on our platform. They make sure that you can find someone outstanding and safe to get the job done.

WizBizLa is a free online directory of service people you can trust, because we only place high quality professionals and businesses on our website. Consumers can leave feedback for service people based on the work that has been done for them, which continues to improve the reliability of the service.

14. What is your Reference Programme?

Our customers ask us for an unbiased and unprejudiced view on local service providers. It's the customers who are providing the feedback, which means that a service provider's profile is only going to get the ratings that it deserves. That way, prospective customers can trust that they can make their own fully informed choice and find the best person for the job.

For this reason reviews do not feature on the platform. We have removed that option altogether.
Instead we offer service providers a place on our Reference Programme, where they:

  • submit a minimum of 3 references which are checked by WizBizLa
  • have a minimum of 1 year experience within your trade
  • hold all relevant qualifications that are required by law and your trade to carry out the trade

This way users get a richer more verified references and richer content to make a decision on a service provider, and for service providers, it further validates their expertise.

15. How do I join your Reference Programme?

To opt to join our Reference programme, simply tick the box in the profile form under the "More Features" section. You will need to provide a minimum of three references, and provide their names, details of when you worked together, along with their contact number or email for WizBizLa to get in touch with them.

16. Why is there no option to place written reviews on the platform?

With the growing number of fraudulent reviews and unsubstantiated claims and opinions about services and service people, a lot of illegitimate services are advantaged and lots of legitimate services are disadvantaged. We choose not to operate on hearsay. We follow the license and license activity of a professional or business, and ensure that they are a member of a professional body in the event a service is challenged.

However, your reviews and experiences are important to us, they ensure we retain the right service people for our customers and our mission. We encourage our customers to contact us directly with positive and negative feedback, which we share with the service provider.

Clients are able to leave service providers a "recommendation" rating, which is visible to the public.

17. What happens in the event of a dispute between a service provider and a client?

WizBizLa provides a Complaint Resolution Process: there’s a recourse if a service complaint is raised from either the service provider or the consumer, at a fee of AED 500.

There is a recourse in the first instance through WizBizLa where an independent lawyer from that particular industry may be present depending on the nature and severity of the complaint. We help to resolve any issues before it escalates to a professional body or the courts.

The second recourse is through their professional body that the service provider is a member of – the service providers has to list the various associations that they need to be affiliated with depending on their trade.

The final recourse is the courts as a last resort.

We leverage ourselves in the consumer / service provider relationship in a massively powerful way.

Whilst the complaint is being investigated, your membership maybe suspended if the complaint is of a serious nature.

If we receive consistent poor feedback (that has been verified), we may take the decision to remove the user or service provider from the platform.

18. What is the Qualifying Criteria to place a profile on the website?

If you are a service provider looking to place your profile on WizBizLa, you will need the following:

  • An Active Trade License
  • To hold all qualifications required by law to carry out your work
  • Share membership of a regulator or Professional body so solve any issues should they arise
  • To agree to our Terms & Conditions/Complaints procedure
  • To uphold the high standards expected of our members

Our aim is to provide customers with a choice of high quality service providers, whilst allowing our service providers to gain the best possible exposure and return on their investment.

We are here to make sure that the customer has the best choice of professionals to do their job, without fear of fraud. Our stringent vetting and constant monitoring of our service providers provides you with the assurance that any service provider you choose will be capable of completing your job to a high standard.

To ensure the highest standards, please pay attention to the following:

  • Only businesses that are qualified, or a service provider from a licensed business, are able to post their company services.
  • Due diligence includes trade license status and 'activity' the service provider declares they do.
  • Any business that does not hold an active license is unable to be featured on the website.
  • Any business that does not match and/or conduct the activity on their license is unable to be featured on the website.
  • Any business that flouts local laws will be removed.
  • Any business that contacts other service providers on the website with the direct intention to spam and/or sell their services will be removed.
  • Any business that receives three or more negative feedback from our customers will be contacted with the purpose of an improvement plan.
  • All businesses must provide a complaint mechanism should our clients wish to lodge a complaint for whatever reason and/or be a member of a recognized industry professional body.
  • Any business that has a license suspended or withdrawn will be removed from the website.
  • We reserve the right not to add a company or individual if they have active court cases against them or have received a judgment against them.

19. Refunds and Cancellations

We totally understand that service providers may feel they want to try the membership before they add their profile. It's a big process to onboard new members, and onboarding takes the WizBizLa team so much time to do, that we are unable to provide trial offers or refunds.

For membership, you are able to join monthly, no contract is required, and you can cancel at any time.
